MIT Office of Sustainability
The MIT Office of Sustainability (MITOS) was established in 2013 under the Executive Vice President and Treasurer's Office to integrate sustainability across all levels of our campus by engaging the collective brainpower of our students, staff, faculty, alumni, and partners. We have set out to ensure that sustainability is a critical part of MIT standard operating procedures and is fully integrated into the working, research, teaching, social and cultural spheres of our campus.
MIT Sloan Entrepreneurship Club
The E-Club was founded in 1988 to serve MIT, Harvard, and Wellesley students, faculty, staff, alumni and select professionals. Members represent a range of experiences and backgrounds including business, engineering, arts, and sciences. Many MIT and Harvard startups have recruited club members as $100K team members, co-founding partners, and equity-sharing employees. The club focuses on helping to develop all aspects of science, engineering, and technology business creation.
MIT J-WAFS Solutions Grants
The J-WAFS Solutions program is part of a research collaboration with Community Jameel — the social enterprise organization led by Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel '78—and is administered by J-WAFS in partnership with the MIT Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation. Since 2015, this grant program has provided funding and facilitated mentor relationships with industry leaders in order to help MIT faculty and students commercialize breakthrough water and food sector technologies and inventions by transforming promising ideas at MIT into innovative products and cutting-edge spinout companies.
