Florence.AI is building the future of continuous mental healthcare. Our mission: Transform episodic therapy into 24/7 support by seamlessly merging session insights with daily patient experiences. We're a Boston-based venture studio project led by Paul English (founder of Kayak.com with 5 exits) developing an AI therapy companion that: - Transcribes therapy sessions and generates structured clinical notes - Engages patients between sessions with personalized check-ins and guided journaling - Integrates biometric data from devices like Apple Watch to connect physical signals with mental states - Delivers pre-session briefings to therapists summarizing patient progress and patterns We're partnering with Mass General Hospital's psychiatry department to co-develop and validate our solution, ensuring Florence becomes an essential tool that both therapists and patients love using.

About the Role

**What You'll Own:** • Raise seed funding alongside Paul and Kate for 24+ months runway • Build exceptional founding team from scratch and create culture people love • Drive product-market fit through strategic partnerships, starting with MGH • Develop and execute insurance reimbursement strategy for sustainable revenue • Create financial model including revenue/user, cost of sales, and churn metrics • Manage weekly metrics and overall budget **Must-Haves:** • Proven track record of raising VC funding • High energy, decisive leadership style - acts quickly without endless consensus • Excellent at synthesizing complex information and communicating clearly • Direct, honest communication style that inspires teams • Some startup experience (not purely big company background) • Track record of tenure in roles (not job hopping) **Nice-to-Haves:** • Healthcare technology C-suite or founder experience • Insurance reimbursement and billing expertise • HIPAA compliance knowledge • Understanding of mental health provider workflows • B2B2C experience (selling to providers while engaging consumers) • Established relationships in healthcare/mental health space • Boston-based or willing to relocate

This is a CEO/Co-founder position requiring significant executive experience - successful C-suite or founder background, venture fundraising experience, and ideally healthcare technology expertise. We're building an AI therapy companion in partnership with Mass General Hospital. The role involves raising seed funding, building the team, finding product-market fit, and executing on insurance reimbursement strategy. We need someone with high energy, decisive leadership style, and a track record of building successful companies. This is not an entry-level position.
